We had a long sunny June Bank Holiday, where I was in Doolin in Clare for John Carey's 30th, Galway City for the Volvo Ocean Race on Saturday afternoon, Headford in Galway on Saturday night for Dave O'Connell's 30th and then we all made our way to Cavan on Sunday to say good luck to Jinksy who is heading off to Australia to work there for a couple of years. Great craic in the Derrygarra Inn, Con Smyths and then finally Cavan itself where my recollections start to get a bit hazy. All I can say is that Tom Mac won the Best Barman in Ireland Award. Here is the rascal behind the bar!
